Go to 0.35 and freeze the frame, in all 3 photos which must of travelled at least 50metres Cav is exactly on the same line.

Utter rubbish it can easily be seen that there was no blame to Cavendish. Photos 1,2 and 3 show Cav on exactly the same line. Photo 1 shows Veelers moving right to exploit the gap in front of him. Photo3 shows Cavendish on the same line, while Veelers can be seen on the floor having drifted right, if Cavendish had elbowed him he would be left of the white line. Veelers was at fault and that’s what the judges saw and decided. Veelers was obviously moving into Cavendish, as can be clearly seen .

Exactly, Veelers pushed cav and cav returned back to his line, moving him out the way, nothing was done wrong here by cav

Have you actually watched the full replay with the shot from above? ( watch?v=LlBWnTPwmgI )
Veelers knew exactly what he was doing.

“Clearly in my book, a deliberate crash”. Going to have to disagree with this. I’d say that he didn’t deliberately cause a crash, but I would say that he deliberately defended himself. You can clearly see if you watch the video veelers is moving to the right off his line. Cavendish needs to move left to get greipels wheel and as he is doing so veelers is moving in to him (and is much bigger) so cav had little choice. Still think cav should have got a slap on the wrist at least…

Watched this clip on a few other channels. Sheesh the comments. Angry Cavendish supporters. I understand know why Le Tour didn’t slap the back of his hand for that; they’d rather have those nunces/supporters mopping at the surface of the water for commercials for room deodorizers or some such crap. I’d bet that if one of his domestiques pulled that stunt he’d be thankful. Baseline; it was an act of violence and the guy that hit the ground could have be fatally injured or worse.

He was trying to grab Griepel’s wheel, and the Argos Shimano rider wasn’t holding his line. Plus the Argos guy was leaning towards Cavendish, Cavendish being the smaller guy had to protect himself from this guy taking him out. Sure it was agressive, but what are you going to do.

Maybe he did, but Sagan is still a cocky little bitch

Yeah it was his fault but if you look a bit before that tom veeler guy swooped out and blocked cav as he was making his move deserved it the bellend!!!!!

Cav totally did that on purpose. He never would have done that to Sagan because he would have gotten his ass kicked. Cav is now my least fav rider, I saw the reply like 5 times

If you watch the video Veelers veers towards Cav first pretty much impeding him.

Look at the whole video. Veelers veered right to impede Cav and got what he deserved. Race marshal agreed
