the thing is,he’s mad at guardini, not at himself. that makes him a jerk, not just a bad loser =) or a good loser, like you tried to call him

In addition to his disappointment at losing the stage itself, Cavendish knew he’d need to win this sprint to have any chance of winning the Points Jersey. He must have been gutted. His reaction can be attributed to a heat-of-the-moment anger that any decent sportsman should feel in those circumstances. Cavendish is a serial winner, he doesn’t like to lose. Nothing wrong with that. Magnanimity is overrated. The quote “You show me a good loser, and I’ll show you a loser” springs to mind.

Better work on your English guys, the world of cycling is being taken over by the English speakers. And by the way, no-one should hold on team cars. Good sprint Guardini.

Cav’s gesturing was a lame attempt to put blame on Guardini for doing something … like kicking his ass. it’s Cav’s instinct to react like that BECAUSE HE’S A WANKER! bravo Guardini on a great victory!

in the last few years since he’s been a big star, Cav has become good at backpedaling after a race but don’t believe it. it’s just bs. he really is a wanker. granted most super sprinters are (Robbie McEwen comes to mind) but Cav brings it to a whole other level.

Not sure that’s fair. Cav on twitter afterwards:

“Pretty angry to be beaten when my team set me up like today. I was lazy & left the sprint 50m too late. @andreaguardini was FAST! Congrats.”

Probably should have leant across and tapped Guardini on the back or something. But I don’t think he was gesturing at Guardini. Guardini kept to his sprint lane. He was clearly just pissed off with himself at getting beat from such a promising position.

But, read into it what you will. Up to you.

Cav is a WANKER… and here he showed why. he gets beat in a straight up sprint and he gets all pissy. if he had any class he would have congratulated Guardini right after crossing the line. but Cav can’t do that because he thinks everyone should be kissing his ass. to hell with him.

Fullclip2000 many thanks for this Post. Love the music Just perfect!
Wow what a sprint by Guardini Bravo!
See, The Manx Missile is beatable, he probably was a bit fatigued after the monster mountain stage yesteday but so what, Guardini climbed those same mountains!!
He just timed the sprint and executed the PLAN perfectly! (I tell you what if there wasn’t a plan there and Guradini did a bit of Improviso, then watch out Cav, Allegro!!!)
